Filling our heart...

Kyle

David Wilcox says the heart is designed to hold an enormous amount of fullness, but it leaves a lot of room for empty. Â That it's the empty that keeps us looking until we find the fullness to fill all the space. Â I can say that after 10 days in Haiti there is no room for empty in there right now. Â My heart feels like a sponge that's been dipped in an ocean and there's no way I can absorb it all. I know it will slowly fade and the empty will come and then I'll be looking again for ways to fill it with God's greatness and glory, but in the mean time I'm worshipping from a heart that is full. That's the journey. Continuing to fill our hearts with the fullness of Christ!

When I first arrived at the hotel, after going through a gate guarded by a dude with a shotgun, they gave me a plastic arm band that allows me entrance to the hotel and 3 meals a day. Â So without the armband, no room no food. Â With the arm band, a bed and 3 meals a day. Just across the street from the hotel there are families living in tents. Â I thought this similar to faith in Christ. Â With the mark of Christ blood, we are allowed into eternity. Â Without the blood of Jesus washing us clean, we will be eternally separated from God's love. So, I've decided to continue wearing this arm band from the hotel until it falls off. Â For two reasons specifically.

One, to remind me of the great and awesome grace of our God that gives us eternal access to the throne of God and entrance into the kingdom.

Two, to pray for Haiti. To pray for all the ones I met there I know are not bound for eternity with me, and all my lost friends here in the states who also have no access as of yet because of their lack of faith. I'm going to hang out with several of them tomorrow.

I say thank you to all of you who have prayed for me and your prayers have been answered. I am at home now and safe. Haiti has been described as the darkest place in the western hemisphere. But darkness is all around us. It's consuming and evil. It is constantly trying to drown out the light. But it will not win. The light of Jesus will always push back the darkness and light the way for us to see the truth. I pray for truth. Pray with me.

Until Jesus returns...let's celebrate the journey and fill our hearts with the greatness and glory of our King Jesus!

Kyle

The Devil, Communion, Axle F, and the Super Bowl

Feb 6,2011

Is the devil after you? Apparently he should be.

That was the sermon this morning at one of the Haitian churches we worshipped with. His message was simple. We are at war. It's a spiritual war and the devil is out to get you, the church, and your family if you are living for him. The good news? We've already won! Hallelujah! Christ is risen! Jesus is alive! Can you hear the excitement as everyone is yelling "AMEN! JZ is alive!" JZ is what it sounds like when you say Jesus in Creole. I first thought a different JZ was coming and we were going to break out in hip hop but then I figured it out.

After an unbelievable message, and I video taped the whole thing, we took communion together. I don't think communion has ever meant so much to me. When the pastor held up the bread and said "Christ body broken for you" I just about lost it. Those words coming from arguably the most broken people in our world was powerful to say the least. "Christ body broken for you, Christ blood shed for you. We are at war. The Devil is out to get you. But JZ has already won. Put your faith in Him!" That was church for me this morning and I hope it is for all of us. Is the Devil after you?

We left there and had lunch at GO Base and did a tour of the facility. They have a Bell Jet Ranger Helicopter parked there with a cross painted on the side. They use it to shuttle doctors in and out of City Solie where the Cholera clinic is. There's another Clinic up on the mountain and it's several hours drive between the facilities and GO base where they all live but only 18 minutes in a helicopter. Is it worth the money? I mean, all these people have given money to SP voluntarily and then they go and buy a helicopter with it? Good use of God's money? Ask all the people who are alive because of it. God is not focused on saving money. He's committed to saving lives. Thank God for big vision and helicopters.

At GO Base I also got to see the warehouse and all the frame Jigs used to build the tent houses for everyone. It was amazing. They have hired and taught the Haitians how to use the Jigs and Nail guns and were building 600 houses per day at this facility when they were first up and running and needed to. Thank God for air compressors and nail guns too.

We left after lunch and went to a very small church and gave out the shoe boxes. There were about 200 kids packed in this tiny church and man it was hot. No airconditioning. They had a keyboard player playing the whole time and I kept giving him the thumbs up to say I thought he was sounding great. After the distribution was over and all the kids started to leave someone told him I played and he asked me to jump in. He had this terrible 80's sounding drum beat going. You know the ones on those cheap Walmart keyboards? So I busted out in some Axle F. It was kinda hilarious. Everyone started dancing all 80's and laughing. Serving God is such a blast. I can see Him smiling all week.

The day ended with us watching the super bowl here at the hotel. It was really funny too. It was a bunch of Americans gathered around a tv beside the pool and yelling. I didn't know everyone there but the Haitian's who work here at the hotel kept looking at all of us like "What the heck are they yelling about?" I'm sure I'll never get to watch the super bowl in Haiti again but it was fun while it lasted.

One last thing. I have become the pharmacy here apparently too. I brought Malaria medicine and Cipro and I haven't needed either one but I've been passing out both to our team today. Pray for the guys with the "Stomach bug". I've already had it but it's starting to run through the ranks. That is not the kind of sickness you want in a place like this. We leave at 9 in the morning and there are pretty much no bathrooms till you get back at 5 in the afternoon. No accidents yet so God is being faithful.

Keep the prayers coming. We need them.

Kyle

Hero's you'll never hear about on the news.

Kyle

Feb 5,2011

We had a day off yesterday and it was fun just hanging with the OCC staff. I laughed harder than I have laughed in long time with them. The OCC staff are some great people who love the Lord, their job, and the people they serve. I want to be more like them.

So here's the 2 highlights of today and one low light. I got sick. that's the low light. Something has been going around the staff and it hit me this morning and ran through me till this afternoon. I thought i was going to be able to go to the airport and help with the pickup but I only got as far as the GO base and asked them to leave me there and come pick me up on their way back through. I started feeling better and I went down to grab dinner with Pierre'. He's one of the SP staff here and a Haitian native. Very cool guy. I told you about him in one of my earlier blogs. Anyway, we sat down at this picnic table across form this kid to eat. He looked like he was about 22/23 years old. I asked him how long he'd been here and he said 8 months. I said "what were you doing before that?". He said he just graduated from college. A recruiter from SP was on campus and he and a friend signed up. His friend went to the Sudan and he came to Haiti. I asked if he came by himself and how long he was going to be here. He said yes he came by himself and would be another 16 months. Are you thinking what I'm thinking? Uh huh. This kid is going to be something for sure. Imagine graduating college and going straight into the mission field...TO HAITI! He's more of a man than me. I've only been here 7 days and I'm about ready to go home.

At dinner I met an older guy who served in Ecuador for 25 years and just got to Haiti 2 weeks ago. He'll be here for a long time. He's on staff now with SP. I told him I thought I had met him last year in Ecuador and asked him if he was there the night Mincaye visited. I said it like "Did you get to meet him too?". He sorta looked at me funny and said "I helped Steve retrieve the airplane from the jungle. I know Mincaye very well and Steve is a close friend". If you don't know these names go rent the movie "End of the Spear". I told him I wanted to eat dinner with him. I won't bore you with a really long blog but dinner was just me asking him to tell stories. The short version is that he and some friends mortgaged their houses to start a ministry that has seen 2 Million people come to Christ over these 25 years. Yes....I said 2 million people.

Here's what i want you to know. God has people all over the globe doing extraordinary things and it's going to take eternity for all of us to catch up when we meet in heaven. Are you doing extraordinary things for the Gospel of jesus Christ?

I'll be going to church at a local church here and then doing more shoe box distributions tomorrow afternoon. Pray for me and my stomach. :)

Kyle

Haiti - SP's Cholera Hospital

Feb 2,2011

I don't have Cholera.... but i did visit a Cholera hospital yesterday.

We first left yesterday morning and went to SP's (Samaritan's Purse) GO Base. They have leased the property from Global Outreach, thus the name "GO". This is where all of their supplies come in and where the staff live. Most of the staff live in tents. The same tents they have built for so many other Haitians.

They have set up several tent villages and we visited one yesterday. Essentially 12'X12' boxes built out of 2X4's with a tin roof and blue plastic tarp covering the outside. They won't allow a tent village to grow more than a couple hundred people. They make sure the next village is placed at a distance away so that they are not just creating slums. At the one we visited, the village has elected officials, created laws, rules and even raised enough money to build a school. All the kids were in school when we were there dressed in school uniforms. Imagine a barn divided into 6 rooms with gravel floors, a chalk board, plywood walls and makeshift desks.

We left there and went closer into Port Au Prince to visit the Cholera Hospital, They made us wash our hands about 6 times in our short visit. they've treated literally thousands of people. Too many stories to tell but there are tons of people who owe these nurses and doctors their lives. They built the hospital in 10 days. Pretty much working 24 hours days to be able to save all these people. It's not the hospital any of us were born in but it saves lives. It's all make shift and functional. They've trained hundreds of Haitians on how to treat one another and prevent the disease. If you want to know more check this most recent blog out from SP. http://www.samaritanspurse.org/index.php/articles/cholera_epidemic_rapidly_grows/

I apologize for not blogging yesterday but we got back late and I was just to tired. This morning I led worship for our devotions and I thought it went great. They then announced that it wasn't safe for us to go out today so we just hung out around here for a few hours. I just came from a team meeting however that announced we are free to go out this afternoon and deliver the shoe boxes. So we're eating lunch at 1 and leaving at 1:30. Pray everything goes well and we see more movements of God through the day. I'll send more info tonight. Keep praying.

God Bless,

Kyle

Haiti - day 3 "Jesus is Alive!"

Feb 1,2011

I feel unworthy. It's been such a humbling day. I lady from Samaritan's purse spoke tonight about the condition and heart of God for Haiti. I would describe her as a modern day Paul except she's a she. She has been living here in Haiti for a year....in a tent! Most of the Samaritan's purse staff live in the same tent homes they've been building for the Haitians. Unbelievable. She told one miracle God story after another and her theme was "God has not forgotten about Haiti." That's a bold statement. Especially when the question could be asked "why has God allowed this to happen to these people?" Why an earthquake? Why the devastation? Why 250,000 people died in the earthquake? Forgotten? Many on the outside say yes. But everyone here says "I've seen his hand. Jesus is a live and doing great things in Haiti! Forgotten? No way! Dead? Absolutely not. Alive? Yes to the power of ten!!!!

I've decided that if you want to see a miracle, you won't see it watching television or hanging out at the house. You have to take the risk. You have to get out. God is alive in our world and you just may be missing it. Love on some people just because you know you're supposed to and see what happens. Serve with no question of what's in it for me. Give when you don't have anymore to give. I promise the miracle will arise.

This morning at our first distribution there were about 350 kids from the age of birth to 16 at this church. We didn't have enough boxes and we were starting to get un-easy. Before we left from the hotel earlier this morning, our devotion for the morning was Jesus feeding the five thousand. You know where this is going don't you? I told our team that "I think this is a chance for God to awaken us to the Matthew story". We started opening boxes and passing them out. Toward the end of giving all of them out Cary, our team leader, asked me "How many short are we going to be?" I told him "I don't know but we haven't run out yet so just keep handing them to me". We had several boxes left over. I was fighting back the tears through the whole thing. What a humbling experience. To stand and be used during God's faithfulness. Were we some type of brilliant passer-outers? yeah right! We're just a bunch of screw ups passing out shoe boxes in the poorest country in the world and no, God has not forgotten Haiti. He is alive and well!

I got to experience a message given at one the churches by a 10 year old boy at our next stop. Looking at his friends, reading John 3:16 and saying "Give your life to Jesus. He died for you and is alive!" Here's why it is so powerful a statement here. The country is led spiritually through mostly VooDoo. The biggest holiday is Good Friday, but they don't celebrate Easter. They don't believe Jesus arose. They celebrate the day they think Satan won. All of the crosses in the country are erected to celebrate this. What a horrific lie! Thank God for Samaritan's purse who have been the hands and feet of Christ proclaiming His love because He is Alive! Pray with me...

God, thank you for the cross. Thank you for the perfect sacrifice. Thank you that we can be forgiven. Thank you for an empty grave that proclaims eternal life is available for those who believe. Use me, and show me your love and forgiveness a new today. Thank you that you have not forgotten me. Just the opposite. Remind me of your faithfulness and strength. You are the Lord and the King. Satan has not won but has been defeated. I want to live in you. I choose life!

For the glory of God,

Kyle

Haiti-Day 2 "I choose life"

Jan 31,2011

Today was a great day. I helped get some things ready here at the hotel for all the guest coming to town for OCC. Then I went to the airport to assist in getting everyone on the buses. This may seem menial anywhere else in the world but not here. Getting from the plane to the parking lot is a nightmare. There are people everywhere trying to get money from you. They try and grab your bag and when they get to your car insist you give them money. Of course when you do it's not enough and they want more. 20$ seems to be the correct number for them. So I was there to help "Navigate" that experience. it wasn't too bad today and I got away with only loosing five dollars.

As a side note I lost my new Oakley glasses Todd Meredith hooked me up with yesterday. One of the drivers found them in his car and gave them back today so I did give him $20 for that. Someone gave me some money before I left and said "give this away if you find someone you think might need it". So this driver was the first to receive the blessing.

One story I'd like to share is something I saw coming back from the airport. Along the roads there are tons of people everywhere for miles and miles trading and just hanging out. With 80% unemployment I guess hanging out is the full-time job of most. But as we went through this one town I saw a little girl in a red dress standing at a watermelon stand selling watermelons. As we drove by she had the biggest smile on her face and she waved energetically at all of us as we passed. She's the first local I've seen smile. I guessed that, as most children, she is happy and content and doesn't know how bad things are or what she may be missing in life. The thought immediately came to me "Faith as a little child". I had to ask myself if I'm content with God's plan for my life as this little girl. I pray I am and I thanked God for my family and my country and His incredible blessing on my life.

I also had a chance waiting at the airport to hear the testimony of one Haitian who lives here and works for Samaritan's purse. He is passionate about God saving His country and very clear that the problem here is not physical but spiritual. He said "When you look at a place you see it's heart and the heart of Haiti is very evil. Only through a relationship with Jesus can our country come out of this. I believe it's going to happen. I know God can do it and I don't think it's that hard." I wish I had video of his "sermon". It was the most powerful thing a person can say. Essentially, "The wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life". His quote over and over was "I choose life!"

Tomorrow we start distributions. Pray for safety.

Kyle

Haiti - Day1

First of all thanks for all of you who are praying for me. I just arrived in the country today. Before I left I tried my best to prepare for what I expected to see, but it is worse here than I imagined. We drove from the airport to the hotel and the drive took about an hour and a half. I never saw a house that wasn't built out of tarps or tents. It's the worst poverty I could have imagined. When the airplane was landing I looked out the window to see several tent villages. I didn't expect for that to be the landscape for miles and miles. It looks like something out of a movie. I didn't get to take any pictures today since my camera was in the back of the car but I will tomorrow. There are no words to express how hopeless it is here. The lyrics "there is a darkness that drown out the light...." come to mind though.

Pray with me that this week we'll be able to touch the lives of some of these children. That they would have influence in years to come that was positive and overflowing from a life change that only a relationship with Jesus could bring. I pray for many to come to faith this week and the weeks and years to come here in Haiti. God, turn their eyes, ears, and hearts toward you in all things. Heal this broken and desolate place for the glory of your name.

I spent tonight planning and praying with the OCC staff who have been here already for 6 days. They are unbelievable. I am inspired at the way they work together, encourage each other, joke around, and just smile and laugh a lot. No doubt they have a great joy they are spreading. Tomorrow we are picking up all the others from the airport. Pray for safety for all of us.

In his grip,

Kyle

1st Samuel ch.4

Ok, we're up to chapter and 4 and this is where things really get good. This is the chapter that will define a turning point in the life of Israel for the next several years. Actually until David becomes King. But we'll get to that later in our study. SO... go read chapter 4 in 1st Samuel before going further in this blog.

Backdrop:
God has told Eli and Samuel that he is going to blot out Eli's family line because of his son's wickedness and Eli's inability to reign them in. He tells Eli he will know this is true when both of his son's die on the same day. So in this chapter we see this come to pass.

Outline:
Essentially Israel goes to war with the Philistines. They are the people group where we get the story of David and Goliath. That's coming later. Israel is getting beaten bad and they send the Ark of the Covenant out into the fight thinking it will save them. You know what the ark is if you've seen "Raiders of the lost ark". However, their plan backfires and the Ark is taken, many people are killed, including Eli's 2 sons, and Israel sustains heavy losses. A messenger comes to tell Eli what has happened. When Eli hears that the ark has been taken, he falls over, breaks his neck and dies. When one of Eli's son's pregnant wife hears that the ark is taken, she goes into labor. She dies having the baby but before she dies names the baby Icabod. Meaning "the glory of God has left Israel".

Why did God do all this to Eli and his sons?:
We see in the chapters preceding this that God gives Eli and his 2 sons several opportunities to repent but they don't. It is a very dangerous place to live where you know you are in open rebellion to God. He always gives us a way out and an opportunity to repent. He is a just God. However, He also does what He says. In this case, "if you don't repent you'll die". He wants us to see the importance of obedience and the cost of sin. Romans says "the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life." I pray we all listen when He speaks to us and own our stuff. We now have Jesus who intercedes for us, and if we have a relationship with Him, He will forgive us. If you've never opened your heart to Christ I pray you do it now. Pray this prayer: "God, I am a sinner. I confess my wrong doing to you. I believe Your son Jesus died on a cross to pay for my sin and I ask for Your forgiveness. I also believe that in 3 days he was raised from the dead to show His power and to also allow me to be raised from the dead to live with you in eternity. Be Lord and Savior of my life. I surrender to You. Amen" If you prayed that prayer please tell someone. Come see me on Sunday or write to me through the guest book at this website.

Why did God allow the ark to be taken?
The reason I believe the ark was taken is because the people forgot Who it represented. Their hearts were in the wrong place just like Eli and his sons. They saw the Ark as an idol and not the place where the glory of God rests. They took the ark into battle to win, not trusting in the Lord. So God allows the ark to be taken in order to turn Israel's heart's back to him. It takes a long time for this to happen but it does happen. So this chapter is about bringing Israel to their knees in order for them to repent and see who God really is. My prayer for us is that we trust in God Himself and not the "Stuff" he's given us.

1st Samuel ch.3

So we are up to chapter 3 in our weekly study of Samuel at band rehearsal each week. This week was eye opening for all of us. As JT put it, "this is one of the scariest chapters in the bible" referring to God's judgment on Eli's family because of their sin. Especially the part where God tells Eli in verse 13 "For I told him that I would judge his family forever because of the sin he knew about; his sons made themselves contemptible, and he failed to restrain them". That is a terrifying thing to hear from God. Am I overlooking something in my child's life that needs to be addressed? Am I under-parenting in how I am holding them accountable? How am I disciplining my children in order to make them more like Christ? All great questions. I'm leaving those to be answered by you the parent.

I'm excited to hear from someone else this week on their perspective of Chapter 3. God spoke to Tracy in another way and I wanted to share it with you guys. Here's what she wrote below.
-Kyle

Last night at rehearsal we looked at 1 Samuel 3. If you’re following along with us, check it out (I’ve linked it for you if you wanna peruse it for yourself.) And while I’ve heard this story since I was a little girl growing up in church, here are a couple of my observations out of our conversation from last night:

I wish God would speak out loud to me the way He did Samuel. I mean actually call my name. Outloud. Sure, He speaks through His word (if I’ll take the time to read and meditate on it.) And He speaks through the people that I’m doing life with (my family, my friends, my church peeps”¦if I’ll make time for them to listen and stop talking.) And He speaks through His Spirit in me. Hearing the Spirit requires stillness. I STINK AT STILLNESS. So maybe I could hear God more if I’d lay still on my bed, like Samuel did and listen for Him. (Bet he didn’t have his ipod on while he played solitaire on his phone.)

I also wish that when God does talk to me that I’d be willing to say ”˜speak, for your servant is listening.’ I know that there are things He wants for my life to make me more into the woman that He’s created me to be. I ACT like I wanna know, but do I really? When I hear Him do I follow through with what He speaks to me? Do I when I hear His voice? Through the folks closest to me when they gently (and sometimes not so gently) speak to me about who I am, things I need to work on? Or do I just harden my heart and get indignant and think, ”˜who the heck are you to talk to... me?’

Lastly, am I too much like Eli? Eli was the priest of the people, the one Samuel went to live with to learn the ways of the temple and the Lord. Eli had a problem with sons who disregarded God’s ways continually and made a mockery of the calling Eli’s family had as priests of the house of Levi. God asked Eli to deal with it. Eli spoke to his sons but perhaps that wasn’t all God required. Or maybe Eli was just going through the motions in his obedience to God. This is my thought, not something the Bible says, but it resonates with me. Oftentimes I do the action, but my heart is far from God. Talk is cheap. I want to have a heart tender toward God, to hear His voice, to love Him with my whole life. But I wonder, how badly do I want that? Enough to make the choices that will get me to a quiet place where I can say ”˜speak, for your servant is listening.’

On the journey with you,
tracy

1st Samuel ch.2

This is week 2 in our study of Samuel. We as a band started last week studying the book of 1st Samuel at rehearsal. Each week we'll be reading out loud the next chapter in Samuel and then I'll blog about it so that anyone who wasn't at rehearsal or anyone who wants to following along can. Please go and read chapter 2 in Samuel before you read this blog.

(Overview)
As we learned last, Hannah prayed and asked for a son. God answered her prayer and this chapter starts off with a song that Hannah wrote. It's a worship song praising God for His faithfulness. If you go back and read chapter one, and then read the words to her song again, you can get a better sense of her enthusiasm for God's faithfulness. The chapter however takes a turn about halfway through. Eli's sons are not following God's commands. So, a man comes to Eli and gives him a word from the Lord. The word is that Eli's sons are going to die and that God is going to blot out Eli's family line. He says Eli will know this is true because both his sons will die on the same day. The reason God is going to do this is because Eli's two sons are very evil and sinful and don't fear him or His decrees and laws.

(questions about Gods wrath)
You may wonder "why is God so judgmental? Give the guys a break." I agree! But let's look closer. God DOES give them a chance. In fact he gives them several chances. The first is that the whole nation is complaining about how they are acting. They even go to their dad Eli. Eli hears this and confronts them. They however, don't change and Eli does nothing about it. This goes on for a long time. They are even having sex in the temple. So God decides to take care of it. "But why does His judgement seem so harsh?" you may ask. "Why does he punish the whole family line? Why not just the 2 boys?". Because "when much is given, much is required". Meaning, He is holding them to a much higher standard because they are his priest. He has brought them in closer and given them more responsibility. It also says they hear what their father is telling them, know what they are doing is wrong, and still continue in their sin. It's a very dangerous place to be in complete open rebellion against God. So the chapter starts in worship and ends in judgement.

(what do we learn?)
Well, we learn several things but let's look at one. Parenting! Hannah is clearly a good parent who has committed her son Samuel to the Lord. She is a woman of her word and every year she comes to encourage Samuel in his calling. Eli however, does not. He has committed his sons to the Lord yes, but doesn't fear God the way Hannah does. So God blesses Hannah, and Samuel, and judges Eli and his sons. If we partner with God, He will partner with us on this road to parenting. Two entirely different stories being played out. Which one do you want to be? The praying parent who commits their child to the Lord and stays faithful in encouraging them in their walk with Christ, or the parent who commits their children to God and then doesn't follow through?

(something crazy and supernatural that happened to me and my son yesterday)
I'm on vacation this week and yesterday my dad, my son and I were sailing together on White Lake in eastern North Carolina. The wind was blowing steady and really rocking the boat over. My son Hayden was starting to get scared and began to cry. My dad and I of course were loving how great the wind was blowing. I tried to console my son with this story from Matthew 28. I told him Jesus had to sail just like this when he traveled. I told him there were no boat motors back then and that one day he and his friends were sailing just like this. The wind was really blowing hard and the boat was rocking. There was a storm and all of his friends were scared just like he was and Jesus was actually asleep on the boat. They went and found him and cried to him saying " we're going to die, why are you sleeping?". Jesus got angry and said "why are you afraid?". Then he did something awesome! He waved his hand across the water. I started to wave my hand across the water too. Then Jesus said "peace, be still" and the storm stopped. Just as I waved my hand and said this in a whisper in Hayden's ear, the wind stopped for us on White Lake too. My dad's eyes got big, as did mine, as he looked at me. My dad said "that's the wildest thing I've seen." It was so immediate and weird that Hayden looked at me and said "do that again daddy." I said "I can't. I didn't even do that. Only God can control the wind." Then a few minutes later the wind started blowing again and we sailed back to the doc.

(what did I learn from this and the Samuel story?)
Here's what I heard God say to me. "if you'll train your kids about me, and tell them of my greatness and glory, I'll partner with you. You're not alone." I'll never forget yesterday. Nor will I ever stop teaching them the stories of my great God who sees everything, forgives, loves, sacrifices, and partners with us in our everyday lives and in our parenting. So, if you have kids, go tell them God loves them and wants what's best for them right now. Don't be like Eli and miss out on sharing Gods grace with them. If not, you may lose them to sin.
